The Present State of the Ethnomusicology Research in Turkey

There is a very little research done ethnomusicology in Türkiye. The earliest research of serious substance has been undertaken by Mahmut Ragıp Gazimihal. The research in this field to be undertaken in Türkiye should deal not only with the history and migration routes but also it should cover the comparative music study of the Turkish world.
